The Fox River is an excellent river for you to discover the great outdoors by canoe. The river is for the most part, two to six feet deep most of its length. Normally the light current will take you down river at a slow relaxing pace.
Many families have found it a great way to spend a day. We are sure you will also. We have had all age groups canoe with us. Freeman’s provides many float trips which are selected to provide maximum enjoyment for the occasional canoeist. These trips encompass the maximum variation in scenery, but have little similarity. For the experienced canoeist, longer trips may be arranged.
Canoes are equipped with life preservers and two paddles. Kayaks also are equipped with paddles and a preserver. Please make reservations early. Credit card number required . Phone number is 630-553-0515.
More experienced canoeists and or naturalist may desire overnight trips. Freeman’s will be happy to provide canoes for such an outing but you must have your own camping equipment.
